
Devika Vijayan is a UGC-NET qualified psychology professional with academic training in Applied Psychology from Pondicherry University and hands-on experience in clinical settings across reputed mental health institutions in Kerala. She has worked as a Clinical Psychology Intern at Government Mental Health Centre Thrissur, IMHANS Kozhikode, and Thanal Counselling Centre, where she gained practical exposure in case history taking, mental status examination, and administration of standardized psychological assessments for diverse populations. She is currently a Research Assistant on an ICSSR-funded project at IIT Dhanbad and has led multiple research studies, including her ongoing project on the impact of phubbing, dark triad traits, and dyadic coping on parenting, as well as prior work examining aggression among emerging adults. Devika is proficient in SPSS and Jamovi, experienced in both quantitative and qualitative analysis, and has completed additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Art Therapy, and APA-style academic writing. Devika has delivered invited talks and training sessions on stress management and mental health awareness for school and college students, and actively participates in conferences and workshops to enhance her clinical and research competencies. A member of the American Psychological Association (APA), she is particularly interested in mental health advocacy, evidence-based practice, and translating psychological research into meaningful support for individuals and families.
